Manic Monday: Sale

Who doesn't love a good sale? I have learned with sales that just because it is on sale doesn't mean it is a good deal. Which begs the question...

Do you want it or do you need it?

The best kind of sale is the kind your best friend hunts down, picks up all kinds of fab stuff and shares her spoils with you! I love it when the call comes in. It goes something like this:
'Would you wear (this)?' and 'I just saw (this). or 'You'll love (this)' and 'How do you feel about (this)? or 'Wait until you see (this)'

Most recently I picked up this (top, second from the left in Royal Red) and this (bottom, second from the left in dark charcoal heather) and this (top, second from the left in ivory). Yes, I needed them.

On the B Side: I've learned the hard way that a 'sale' adds up quickly and it generally means the early bird gets the worm. Is it really worth fighting others to get a piece of something you may not even really want OR end up picking through the sloppy left overs? If you are not careful, you will end up with a bunch of stuff that you do not really need. The guilt will kick in and you will end up returning it any way. Huge waste of time.

My sister-in-law likes to say that need is not the issue, want is! If I had her income, I might say the same thing but for me, unless it's on sale (and a darned good one at that) then need is an issue!

You know I'm all about the sale. If its on my need or want list in the next two years, and I find it on a killer sale (I'm not talkin just 10 percent off.) then it becomes a MUST.

I always save a bit in the budget just in case one of those amazing sales falls into my lap. What can I say, I like to shop.

Liz! You can't just leave a comment like that and not explain yourself. You haven't posted since 12/19 and you still haven't come aboard with Manic Monday. What are you crying about?!

HA! I was just showing you my disapproval of you bashing sales. If it's on sale, I find a need for it. :)

And I'm posting today! And I'm going to join Manic Monday!

need versus want...I'm constantly contemplating that. Sometimes I fall victim to the "want" side...

I struggle with the want vs need thing when I see sales all of the time-lately I've had an easier decision since I was laid off-so now most of my things turn to want but can't buy!

Happy MM!!

You shopper you! I LOVE that plaid skirt! I may have to go see if they still have them. I live by the "want vs. need" rule & it REALLY works. That is why I LOVE all my clothes :) Anyways..thanks for sharing your spoils!
